We were in Baab Bua hostel un August 09, we spend there 3 nights, Nok was fantastic, very helpfull and she speaks great English. The guesthouse is relly nice, clean, breakfast in the garden superb!!, we arranged the 2 days 1 night trekking trough her and everything was fantastic, we has some trouble in the trek but because of the rainy weather. Thank you very much Nok!!!
My best regards:

A lovely guest house suitable for all from. Such a nice change to have few days relaxing in a beautiful garden, (most guest houses I have stayed at dont have a garden) The staff were very helpful in pointing us to all the places to visit nothing was too much for them. Room very spacious with en-suit shower.
A little difficult to find but if you walk passed Orchids house (no garden) you will find it just around the corner.

Best place I have stayed at since arriveing in Thailand, a real home from home.
Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, and execellent food cooked at any time. Walking distance from town centre and Bars, Night Bazaar ect. A little difficult ti find, but well worth it, the position is in a beautiful secluded garden, very quiet considering its location. I recommend you try for one night, you will find it had to leave.

Very friendly and helpful staff who always smile. The rooms are well priced for the area and are clean big and with excellent matresses.
The garden is just a joy to sit in with a canopy of trees and plenty of tables.
If you've taken the night bus from Luang Probang in Laos and then caught the bus straight to Chiang Rai then believe me this is a place you will enjoy to relax.

We didnt realise until we stayed here how important a garden would be. We could eat meals and have drinks with new friends in beautiful tropical oasis. Everything catered for, rooms execellent, staff so friendly and helpful, trips organised and general information about area and off the beaten track places to visit.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE GUEST HOUSE YOU STAY HAS A GARDEN |

Bann Bua is the only hotel we have returned to three times in all of our travels and the elastic is tightening after only a couple of weeks away. The breakfast is excellent, particularly the home made Yoghurt and Muesli. We could wax lyrical about the yoghurt alone for days. It is the best we've eaten since Turkey and they are better at yoghurt than the Greeks, just add honey for a trip to Nirvana.
Better than the food is the hospitality. All of the girls look after you so well. they really understand hospitality. My favourite guest house run by my favourite owner and my favourite staff; Emily is cute too. Think we're exaggerating, go see for yourself. |
